Freedom!
This week, as Americans, we will be preparing to celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s independence. So, this morning, we took our Independence Day worship service to Polk Personal Care in Millersburg, and Tracy Barcavage gave the morning message.
Tracy spoke about the sacrifices made over the past 249 years that allow us (as Americans) to live in freedom. She then talked about the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ so that we could live in eternal freedom with Him.
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. - Romans 6:22
We are called to use our freedom to (through love) serve one another and not use our freedom to fulfill desires of the flesh.
During the service, we also recognized the proud American veterans in attendance. They are so dear. It is Veterans (like these) who we have to thank for our American freedoms, and we thank Jesus for our eternal freedom.
