Don’t Miss Out on the Gifts of the Spirit

This morning, we were honored to have Herb Monroe and Raymond Barry join us for the morning message.

It is amazing to see how God prepares us for one message after another... Last week, we talked about the importance of the Holy Spirit… Herb and Ray had no idea, but God gave them a word about our Helper - Holy Spirit!

Herb and Ray are preparing to go on their next mission trip to Tanzania. They told us about examples of the Holy Spirit speaking through and using them on their last trip was to Tanzania.

God’s plans are greater than ours, so it is important that we obey the nudging of the Holy Spirit. We also need to receive and use the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 tells us about the different gifts of the Holy Spirit:

• Word of Wisdom

• Word of Knowledge

• Gift of Faith

• Gift of Healing

• Working of Miracles

• Prophecy

• Distinguishing Between Spirits

• Speaking in Tongues

• Interpreting Tongues

In all of these gifts, and in every trial or opposition, we can rejoice that God has equipped us with three weapons:

• The Name of Jesus Christ

• The Blood of Jesus Christ

• The Word of God
