Happy Birthday, River’s Edge!
One year....
I lot can happen in a year....
God can do a lot in one year....
One year ago, today, we gathered for our first worship service together (in Seal Park). Since that day, we moved morning to worship to The Twin Valley Players Colonnade Theater (where Christi and Nikki took amazing care of us), and we spent a handful of weeks moving worship to the Polk to bring worship to their residents, before God moved us to our new spot (the Beacon). None of us expected to be in our own building this early in our time in ministry, but we are so excited He has!
Over the past year, we have enjoyed hearing from AMAZING speakers! Each week, God is spiritually filing us through these amazing presenters. They are so good... HE is so good!
SO MUCH has happened in a year....
~ SWAG (Saved With Amazing Grace) - youth group - enjoyed a summer of day camps for young Christian soldiers.
~ VBS was a crazy success as all of our kiddos learned how to be Fishers of Men!
~ Outreach is continuing to build - blessing those on our list when God calls us to bless them. Now that we are settling in our new building, we can begin scheduling and doing more outreach ministries!!!!
~ Men's Bible Study continues to encourage and uplift the men who are attending each week.
~ Women's Bible Study wrapped up their book series, and are in plans for the next one...
~ Virtual Bible Study has an exciting project underway that they are working on to help lift and reach others and build disciples - virtually.
~ Prayer warriors are being gathered together.
Heavenly Father - Thank you for blessing River's Edge Bible Ministries for the past year. Have your hand of blessing over the Beacon, everyone serving in it, and everyone being served through it. We declare your protection over our families. The enemy will try to come against You and Your work, but YOU are sovereign. We plead the blood of Jesus over each one touched by any word, post, prayer, or any impact of River's Edge. You are Lord. Help us reach this world for YOU! In Jesus' Name - Amen!
